Trade Lead and Buyer Alert
The Trade Lead is a form filled by a food importer detailing food product characteristics and contact information. This form is released by our office through the Internet. Interested in receiving Trade Leads? Contact the Trade Lead link on the FAS Website.
The Buyer Alert is a publication that contains contact details and product characteristics of U.S. food supplies. Our office distributes the Buyer Alert to two hundred Peruvian importers through e-mail.
Both forms facilitates contact information to each U.S. supplier or importer, creating interesting business opportunities.
Trade Shows and Trade Mission Recruitment
FAS/Lima keeps an updated U.S. Trade Show sheet online and recruits Peruvian and Bolivian importers for major trade shows and trade missions around the United States. These events are sponsored by trade associations, state and regional agencies supported by the USDA. Cochran Fellowship Program
This program provides training in the United States specifically for senior and mid-level specialists and administrators concerned with agricultural trade, agribusiness development, management, policy and marketing from the public and private sectors in emerging markets such as Peru and Bolivia.
Between 2001 and June 2003, 46 government officials and private sector contacts have participated in training under the Cochran program. Cochran Programs facilitates and enhances the introduction and knowledge of U.S. food products and sources of food supply and ease business relations and friendship between our office and the participants. Outreach and Other Promotional Activities
Our office organizes or joint events, and visit new local contacts in major regions countrywide to inform FAS services and programs. These activities also help to report market opportunities for U.S. food products.
